Leo Messi, the best soccer player in the world decided to retire from his national team right after The Copa America Centenario final. Right away, we decided to bring together every Messi social media fan in one Hot Site to show him our support. We wanted to prove that a collective digital effort is the strongest force in digital communication. We gave a voice to every hashtag by creating a tweet aggregation algorithm that allowed showing how many people were asking Leo Messi to come back. We had more than 80 countries and 1.2 Million supporters worldwide accessing the Hot Site, using our hashtags and showing their support.

A last minute news

Lionel Messi has said his international career is over at the age of 29 after he blazed a penalty over the bar in Argentina’s defeat in the Copa América final to Chile. The Argentina captain missed his spot-kick in the decisive shootout at Met Life Stadium, which Chile went on to win 4-2 and secure a second Copa crown in two years, and was disconsolate on the pitch after the game.

Quick Design & Development

We assemble a team that designed and developed the hot site and social media content strategy in one business day. The impact was immediate showing that timing and opportunism in the digital sphere is crucial.

We created a @notevayaslio10 twitter account and created custom #notevayaslio content in order to boost the campaign. For Leo, we reached more than  80 countries and brought together more than 1.2 million fans.
